Beginner Courses

Archery Courses at Samford Archery Park, the home of The Grange Company of Target Archers Inc.

The Grange Company of Target Archers Inc provides archery introduction courses and these are now held at Samford Archery Park.
Please refer to the (brochure) on archery at our club at the Grange Company of Target Archers Inc which is based at Samford.
The club welcome seniors and juniors to join and many parents do the introductory archery courses with their children.

Archery is a life sport and we have members from 10 to 80+, and many families participate.

Our new facility at Samford includes an outdoor target field as well as indoor facilities, ideal for wet or hot weather, and we hope to re-develop our field course over the next six months.

Cost for the course is $80 for the course of 3 sessions of 2 hours each on Saturday mornings, all equipment inclusive.

As a member you can shoot at the club as a casual archer, as a social archer or as a competitive archer either at the club events or in interclub shoots.  We have specific rounds listed in the calendar each week. Our members often compete at the Australian Nationals and even at the World Championships.

All equipment is provided to beginners.

Once you have completed a beginners course you can apply to join the club. You will need to be a member once you have completed the beginner course but by then you will have decided if archery is for you.

After beginners course there are other options such as self improvement via the OzBow program and later other training sessions.

There is generally hire equipment available at the club, though later you may choose to buy your own equipment.
Members are of cause required to follow our strict rules and policies, which are focussed on safety.

Club membership for adults is $55 pa and you also have to affiliate for $115 pa with South Queensland Archery Society which also covers you for insurance, allows you to compete at interclub events and sustains the SQAS coaching qualification program.
For Juniors membership fees and affiliation fees are  $33 and $80.
Family rates which become effective for more than two are $110 for family club membership, and for affiliation/insurance $259 for one senior and two juniors plus $14 for each additional junior.
